During the last 2 months and as a result of the investigations to a fire related issue in a property built by LU Simon; the city council surveyor visited 1 Colombo apartments to inspect and evaluate the property ability to manage Fire Emergencies.
1 Colombo apartments has implemented a permanent Maintenance plan aiming to prevent and identify any malfunction of the equipement to ensure an effective and responsible management of Essential Safety Measures. This is part of the building occupancy permit and it is audited by an external party every 12 months at the end of each audit a certificate is granted and published on the foyer for local authorities and occupants/visitors to view.
At the moment, the city council is working with its surveyor and advicing building company and owners corporation of the best steps to ensure the cladding material used on the exterior facade of the property, is rectified to comply with the Australian Standards.
