UTILITIES CONNECTION

This is very important information for all new residents at Colombo, please read carefully and in case of any doubt please use CONTACT US section.
All your utilities must be transferred into your name prior occupying a unit or you may face disconnection, you can find help with your real estate agent. Several websites make all connections or transfer of the utilities on to your new house so it’s worth it to get all that organize with time.
ELECTRICITY – Origin 1800 684 993 Origin installed your meters so they would be the easiest to deal with in terms of connection and meter numbers.
GAS – no connection required
We already have a default connection for everyone at Colombo. You will not be able to connect your own company as there is only 1 meter per building, that supplies gas to the cook tops and the Owners Corporation pays for this service.
WATER – Yarra Valley 1300 304 688
Is supplied through Yarra Valley please call them direct to connect your water service. Water meters are located on your floor in the water meter cupboard. These meters are tagged with your apartment number on them for quick reference.
HOT WATER SUPPLY – Origin 1800 684 993
Every apartment has a hot water meter that is electronically read, this meter belongs to Origin and they are the only provider of this service. Please call origin to put the account on your name. You will get charged the supply of hot water to your unit.
TELEPHONE - INTERNET CONNECTIONS
This building is set with all phone lines provided by Telstra. You will need to be paired from the street (exchange) to the building then a jumpering connection needs to be done to the apartment itself.
When you select your provider they will request access to the MDF that is located in the building manager’s office CONTACT US to coordinate access.
